Selected Students

Ongoing communication with IEO and the University-wide Office of EAP (UOEAP)

After you are selected by the UCLA International Education Office, you will work with the University-wide Office of EAP (UOEAP) on all logistical arrangements: housing, visa, host university placement, program dates, etc.

UOEAP will send you pre-departure instructions on these matters in the weeks following the application closing date for your program. Questions regarding UOEAP pre-departure instructions should be addressed to the appropriate UOEAP Operations Specialist.

Questions regarding issues at UCLA (orientations, course transfer, etc.) should be addressed to the appropriate IEO counselor.

Health Clearance

All selected EAP students are required to receive a Health Clearance, and in some cases complete an Online Travel Health Course, before going abroad. In MOST cases, Health Clearance can be completed online.

Follow the UCLA EAP Health Clearance Instructions and plan ahead as the process may take several weeks.

Most scholarships will require certification from both a study abroad advisor and financial aid advisor.
