- Collaborating with the Academic Senate and departments to insure academic oversight of study abroad programs and integrate study abroad into the curriculum.
- Coordinating student advising services for undergraduate and graduate students interested in studying abroad.
- Working closely with other academic and administrative units to provide a coherent and consistent set of services for nondegree international students engaged in campus coursework and research.
- Administering several programs, among them the UC wide Education Abroad Program (EAP); Quarter Abroad; Summer Travel Study; Summer International Student Program; and nondegree International Student Exchange.
